Shakopee Indians vs Victoria Vics

Tuesday July 22, 2014 7:30PM

The Indians fall in a slug fest 17-13 in a Section 3 matchup.

Pat Lenton started on the hill for the Tribe but just didn't have his best stuff. Walks and hit batters did Lenny in just after 2+ innings.

Shakopee bounced back and matched the Vics offense jab for jab. But a huge home run in the 6th for the Vics was a dagger.

After being down 17-8 in the 7th, the locals climbed back to make the final score respectable.

Andy Gibart relieved Lenton in the 3rd and pitched 4 innings running into some bad luck. Bad bounce hits and the perpetual problems with the lighting in Victoria led up to the HR in the 6th. Aaron Olson shut down the Vics bats in the 7th and 8th.

Offensively for Shakopee pretty much everyone in the lineup had a hit or reached base. Troy Wasiloski reached base five times, 3 hits, a walk and hit twice by the same pitch! Troy scored 3 times as well. Chase Hentges had 3 hits and 2 walks - also reaching base 5 times - scoring twice. Zak Hoffman chipped in 3 hits and 2 RBI.

Same two teams back at in Friday.
