The Jordan Brewers traveled to Shakopee on Friday for the first game of the season. Chris Rupert started for the Indians and pitched well for Shakopee going 5 innings while allowing no runs. Shakopee scored a run in the 1st on an RBI single by Aaron Olson with 2 outs. Shakopee picked up another run in the 3rd inning on an RBI double from Troy Wasiloski.
Unfortunately, after that, it was all Brewers as they picked up 3 runs in the 6th on a home run. Jordan put 2 across in both the 8th and the 9th. The Indians were able to put 1 more run on the board in the bottom of the 9th, but it wasn't enough as Jordan takes the season opener from the Indians 7-3. The next Indians game is at home on Tuesday May 5th at 7:30pm.
