WP: Chris Rupert, LP: Nick Anderson, SP: -
The Indians faced off against the Prior Lake Jays in their first section game of the year. Chris Rupert started on the hill for the Indians and pitched well, giving up just 2 unearned runs in the first inning. Shakopee picked up a run in the first on a Troy Wasiloski 2 out RBI double. No one was able to score until the 7th and Rupert kept Prior Lake hitters off balance and Shakopee was unable to plate a run. In the 7th however, the Indians got clutch 2 out hitting once again and Aaron Olson hit a double to plate Jake Rhinesmith. Shakopee put up another run in the 3rd after Dominick Schleper led off the inning, was advanced to 2nd on a sacrifice bunt by Alex Bade, and then scored on an infield single by Jake Rhinesmith. Rupert pitched a scoreless 9th earning himself the complete game win.
