Shakopee hosted the Red Birds from Chanhassen on Thursday night. The Indians jumped out to an early lead with 3 runs in the 1st inning on a Troy Wasiloski sacrifice fly and a Kyle Hoover RBI single. It would be tough going for the Indians bats the rest of the way. Chanhassen put up 2 in the 4th and 1 in the 5th to even things up at 3, but Shakopee managed to get a run across the board in the bottom of the 5th to retake the lead. However, Chanhassen scored 1 in the 8th to tie the game again. The Indians were unable to score and the game went to extra innings. Shakopee had chances to win the game, but were unable to get the clutch hit they needed. Chanhassen scored 4 runs in the 11th and the Indians were unable to score, taking the loss 8-4. Shakopee will host Chaska on Sunday June 21st for a Father's Day matchup against the Cubs. Game time is 6pm.
