The Indians took on the St. Peter Saints on Friday night. The game was delayed 20 minutes due to rain in the area. Rob Deuth made his Indians debut on the hill. The Indians got on the board quickly when Kyle Ryan reached on an error in the 1st and Brandon Olson knocked him in with a single. Shakopee put up two more runs in the second inning when Travis Larsen, in his first Indians at-bat, hit a 2 run single to drive in Luke Bruss and John Hellkamp. The Indians picked up another run in the 3rd when Aaron Olson singled and then scored on 2 wild pitches. In the 5th, St. Peter scored 3 to make it 4-3, but Shakopee never looked back after that. In the 5th, Aaron Olson and Troy Wasiloski drove in a run apiece to make it 6-3. Shakopee put across 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th on a Travis Larsen Sacrifice Fly, his 3rd RBI of the game. Rob Deuth pitched 5 innings, allowing just 3 runs and getting the win. Tom Hellkamp allowed 1 run in 3 innings of work and Dane Secott made his return to the Indians pitching a scoreless 9th. The Indians took this one 9-4. Travis Larsen drove in 3 while Kyle Ryan, Aaron Olson, Luke Bruss, and John Hellkamp had multi-hit games. Next up is the Town Ball Classic at Target Field on Saturday at 3pm.
