The Indians hopped on the team bus Sunday morning and headed out on the road for a doubleheader in two different towns – Game 1 in Fairfax, Game 2 in Gaylord. A twist in the schedule this year put Shakopee Indians on the road for a doubleheader in two different towns. With the weather cooperating for once in more than a week, Shakopee arrived in sunny Fairfax ready to play

Dane Secott took the ball in the first game and dominated from the start. Secott went five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and sent 6 would be batters back to the dugout. Mike Anderson pitched the final two innings – this one was shortened to 7 innings. Andy also pitched scoreless baseball, also allowing one hit, and fanning two.

The offense sputtered in the first three innings then came to life in the fourth scoring 5 runs on three hits. Dan Harris and Joey Heller each driving in two runs in the inning. Joey drove in two more with a double in the 5th. The Indians tallied five in total in the 5th to break the game open.

Shakopee left no doubt in this one winning 10-0 in seven innings. Heller, Dan Harris, and Jordan Triestram led the offense as they all tallied multiple hits.
