... came up with a two-out triple ... double driving in two in the 6th. ... winning pitcher. ... held the Vic's to two runs.

Eager to get back on the field and into Section 3 action, the local nine faced Section foe Victoria Vics for the first of three meetings in 2010. The Indians sent Dane Secott to the hill to battle Vic’s pitcher Alex Sommer. Shakopee got on the board first in the bottom of the first when Troy Wasiloski came up with a two-out triple scoring Aaron Olson to take a 1-0 lead. After that, both starting pitchers got in a groove and neither team posted any kind of a scoring threat until the 6th.

In the top half of the 6th, the Vics scored twice on 3 hits and two walks to take a 2-1 lead. Secott came up with a big bases-loaded strikeout to end the inning and limit the damages. In the bottom half, Shakopee answered with three runs on four runs and an error highlighted by a Dan Harris double driving in two and a single by Mike Anderson to bring in another. Shakopee added two in the seventh and one more in the 8th to put this one away. Kyle Green came in the 7th and recorded the three-inning save allowing only one hit.
