Game 14: Thursday, June 3, 2010
Chaska scored in the top of the first on a leadoff walk and two singles. But that was all the scoring the Cubs would get the rest of the night. Shakopee answered with 2 in the bottom of the first on a Aaron Olson homerun. Shakopee tallied three more runs in the 2nd on 4 consecutive hits and there was no looking back. The offense would knock out 18 hits in all this night led by Olson who had a 5-for-5 night. Curt Hartfiel and Joey Heller added three hits each. Chris Rupert toed the rubber for the local nine coming off the 22-day DL and looked as though he were in mid-season form. Rupe allowed one run scattering 5 hits over 7 innings of work. At one time Rupe retired 13 straight batters.
