Game 14: Thursday, June 12, 2008
Make that four wins in a row! Shakopee’s Mitch Ries stayed hot and began the second inning (or is it the third inning Joey) with a hit. Brannon Weigel moved the runner over and Nate Brown lined a RBI single to take the lead 1-0. Aaron Olson lead off the third inning with one of his four hits on the night, and a still struggling Troy Wasiloski brought him home with a RBI double. Shakopee broke the game open in the fourth when Andrew Zellman put his head to good use, Curt Hartfiel RBI doubled (with two outs), Aaron Olson RBI singled (with two outs), and Troy Wasiloski homered (with two outs). It was nice to see Shakopee’s 2, 3, and 4 hitters finally producing! Tim Theis started on the hill and pitched eight crafty innings. Tim allowed only six hits and struck out five. Dan Collins came to pitch a very crafty ninth inning-striking out two of the three batters he faced. |
