Game 18: Tuesday, June 17, 2008
It is hard to win any game with 6 errors! Jordan jumped on Shakopee with a couple of hits and took advantage of Shakopee’s two errors in the first. In the second, the still struggling Troy Wasiloski led off with a double and Brannon Weigel drove him home for the RBI. Wasiloski smashed another double in the fourth and scored on a hit by Lance Siedow. At this time the score was 3-2 infavor of Jordan. Just as the momentum was going Shakopee’s way, the Jordan Brewers scored two more runs in the fifth (both unearned). On a positive defensive note, Joey Wolfswinkle, or Joey Bullwinkle, depending on which uniform he has on, threw a laser from left field to second base to get a big out in the seventh. Tim Theis pitched eight strong innings allowing only 2 earned runs and striking out three. Kyle Green threw the ninth and did not allow an earned run. The Indians know what they need to do to get back on a roll and it will start on Thursday vs. St. Peter. |
