Game 25: Friday, July 8
Shakopee 3 - St. Michael 1

Nate Brown

Troy Wasiloski

Aaron Olson
... drove in the winning run. ... home run over the left center field wall adding a big insurance run. ... gave solid pitching and a single that tied the game.

Aaron Olson toed the rubber for the Indians tonight as somehow the pitching staff all decided to take a vacation at the same time. Ole did all that he needed to do...let the leadoff hitter of each inning get on and work from the stretch the rest of the inning. Throwing strikes, letting the other team hit the ball and keep the defense interested is all that is necessary sometimes.

Shakopee bats were slow to get going once again. Saints pitcher stymied the Indian bats the first time through the order. The Indians chipped away the second time through the order. Brandon Olson led off the 4th inning with a walk and stole second base. Aaron Olson singled down the left field line to score Brandon Olson and tie the game.

In the fifth, Dan Harris led off the inning with a walk. John Hellkamp sacrificed him to second. Nate Brown drove him in. Just like they draw it up in the books!
In the sixth, Troy Wasiloski sent an offering over the left center field wall adding a big insurance run.

St. Michael threatened all game long but the Shakopee defense was stellar tonight turning three double plays and making several diving catches. All because pitcher Aaron Olson was just doing his job...throwing strikes keeping the defense interested.

Shakopee plays at 11:00 AM vs Moorhead and 3:00PM vs Cold Spring. We hope to see you at the ballpark!

WP - Aaron Olson
