Work horse downtown big Nate Brown pitched for eight innings to pick up the win.

Northfield would take advantage of a Shakopee defensive error and score in the first inning.  Shakopee would answer with a Curt Hartfiel lined hit.  Lance Siedow’s RBI hit would later bring Curt home and a Brannon Weigel sac fly would bring in the second run. 

Ahead 2-1, Shakopee would score one more in the third after a Northfield error, an Aaron Olson sac bunt, and a Troy Wasiloski RBI hit. 

In the fourth inning, Shakopee would “go” with two outs after Joey Heller and Curt Hartfiel hit ropes, and then Aaron Olson doubled.  Shakopee would score a run in the fifth making the score 5-1.

Nate Brown started on the mound for Shakopee and pitched eight innings with allowing only one walk.  Dan Collins came to pitch the ninth and with sweat dripping, picked up the save.
