Shakopee pitching ace, Tim Theis, went the distance on the mound for Shakopee, and Chaska's ace, Ryan Seifert, went the distance for the Cubbies.

Chaska scored their only run off Theis in the top of the first inning, while Shako answered with all three of their runs in the bottom of the first inning. Both pitchers shut out their opponents for the next 8 innings, for the 3-1 pitchers'-dual final.
