Shakopee scored 4 times in the 2nd inning and 8 times in the 3rd to stake a 12-2 lead in the early innings in a River Valley League contest with the LeSueur Braves. Then the Indians ran out of arms. Not something you would usually see after a break for 5 days. Starter Mike Anderson took the ball to start the game by default being he was the only player who has logged any innings on the mound this year of the 10 players in the dugout. Andy did his job and kept the LeSueur hitters off balance through 4 innings before tiring in the 5th and leaving with a 12-6 lead. The offensive machine that put 12 runs on the board early overheated in the hot, muggy weather recording just 4 hits after the 3rd inning. The last 9 outs were hard to get for the local nine. Manager Brannon Weigel having to make a tough decision of which non-pitcher can throw the most strikes was not easy. Aaron Olson and the knuckleball finally got the ball in the 8th and stopped the bleeding recording the last five outs of the game.

Brannon Weigel led the offense with 5 hits, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Curt Hartfiel and Kyle Hoover each tallied three safties of their own. Hartfiel also drove in 5 runs while hitting in the leadoff spot.
