Shakopee out-dualed the Jordan Brewers in game 1 of sauna week in Minnesota. Chris Rupert went 6 strong innings giving up 3 runs (2 earned). Dane Secott worked the 7th and Nate Brown closed the game allowing a run on 2 hits in 2 innings. Brownie showed up clutch as the stable was empty down in the bullpen.

Offensively, the Indians scored all their runs in two innings but threatened all night. In the 3rd, Brandon Olson, Curt Hartfiel and Aaron Olson strung together consecutive singles to get Shakopee on the board. Two batters later, Zack Bohar cleared the bases with a wall scraper to left giving the tribe a 4-2 lead.

The 4th inning saw two more runs for the locals. Brannon Weigel walked, B. Olson singled and speed was on the basebaths. Hartfiel hit a sharp single to left to load the bases. Troy Wasiloski doubled to bring in Weigel and Olson. The Indians had many more chances to break this game open leaving a total of 12 runners left on base - at least one in every inning.

Shakopee brings the show on the road on Tuesday to Belle Plaine for game 2 in Sauna week in Minnesota. We hope to see you out at the yard!
