Game 33: Friday , July 22
Shakopee 8 - Jordan 0

The Indians traveled to Jordan Friday night hoping to shore up the #2 seed in Section 3 with a win. The locals would not disappoint...Chris Rupert would not disappoint. Facing the Brewers for a second time in a week did not affect Rupert. He tossed 6 strong innings and didn't allow a run. Rupert worked out of trouble in the first and sixth innings using a strong Indians defensive showing for assistance.

The Tribe would get on the board first in the 3rd. Dan Harris scored on a Brandon Olson single. That would be all Rupert needed but the Indians added on. In the 4th, the locals added three runs on just one hit. Four Brewer walks aided the Indians in the inning.

Offensively the Indians bats knocked 10 safeties Friday night. Brandon Olson, Kyle Hoover, and Nate Brown all had multi-hit nights.

With the win, the Indians clinch the #2 seed in the section and will face none other than the Jordan Brewers in a best-of-5 series starting Friday July 29th for a berth in the super-sectional tournament.
